I want to start out by wishing every one of you a great Thanksgiving holiday with your family and friends. I hope the warmth and love you share with each other will bring memories for years to come.

As we go into this holiday season let us not forget to thank our Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST for his abundantly love.  We are so ordinary but we serve an awesome and extraordinary GOD.  We can do nothing on our own without his help.

The first thing when I open my eyes of a morning is to say, “Thank you GOD for brand new day” and when I close my eyes at night the last thing I say, “Thank you GOD for another day and for all your blessings you so gracelessly gave to me ”.  I try so hard to serve him to the best of my ability, but I fail him in so many ways, I guess the day when I am perfect, I won’t be here anymore.

I want to take this time of the year to especially thank all of you who have been so kind to us. I want to thank all the people who came to our concerts this year, THANKS to the promoters, pastors, churches and etc. for allowing us to be a little part of your lives.

We have made so many new friends this year who have totally enriched our lives more than you will ever know. A special THANK YOU to all the DJ’s who plays our music over the air waves. Thanks to all of you who purchase our products, DVD’s, CD’s, Cookbooks and etc. We are deeply appreciative and humbled!

I want to thank all of you who have been so kind to add your names to the list where so many people are trying to get Dan Dixon back on the air at Sirius. We have collected over 3200 names and it is growing by leaps and bounds. Your kindness is very much appreciated. If you would like more information about this check out our home page.

I want to ask everyone as you sit down to have your family Thanksgiving dinner, if there is a person in your neighborhood who has no family or can’t get out to go have dinner with someone, please fix them a plate and take to them and let them know there are people who care. We don’t want anyone to go without during the holidays if we can help it.

Let us especially remember in prayer our soldiers who have to be away from home during the holidays and are fighting for yours and my freedom and please remember their families as this can be a lonely time of the year for them.

As always, remember our nation and our nations leaders in prayer.

Until next time! I Love Ya……….

This journal entry is really hard for me to write. As many of you know since the merger between Sirius and XM many of the on air personalities are being let go. One in particular is “Dan Dixon” also known as “Country Dan”.

Dan has been a wonderful supporter not only for country artists but also for gospel artists.

He hosts the program Stained Glass which is not only heard on America XM 10 but is also heard on enlighten 34. He worked side by side with Marlin Taylor from enlighten 34 at the NQC for the past couple of years and he enjoyed every minute of it. He also plays a lot of gospel music on his America XM 10 program.

His love and compassion for people and music goes without saying and his respect for his audience shines through on his programs. He not only plays the well know artists but he also plays many artists who were just getting into the business. He believed in giving everyone a fair chance. That’s why everyone loved him so much.

I remember one night on his program he was talking about a little boy who had cancer and he was asking everyone to send the little boy an email to lift his spirits and to let him know the whole world was praying for him. Dan choked up on the air and you could truly feel his heart was broken as he spoke. This is just one of the examples of what a kind man he is. He really loves his family and friends. I feel blessed to have such a good friend. One who is not a phony but is real. Friends like him are few and far between and all of you know exactly what I mean don’t you?

I, along with another lady, Laurie Dressler from Wisconsin started a petition to try to keep Dan on the air.

If you would like to sign our petition please get in touch with me at shannons@theshannons.com to have your name added to the list. We are sending names and your messages into Sirius XM president Mel Karmazin and his staff every week. To date we have collected over 1000 names and messages from all over the country.

You can email, fax, call or write to Sirius yourself. All contact information is on our home page.

Whether you are a gospel singer or a country singer, we need people like him representing us on the air waves across the nation, someone who cares!

I appreciate you taking the time to read this and I sincerely hope you band together with me in prayer that GOD will come on the scene and his will be done. We have so much trash on TV and Radio these days. We definitely need good wholesome programs for our families.

Let us remember our nation, our nation’s leaders, our soldiers, their families and each other in prayer.  God bless you and your family is my prayer.

Until next time!  I Love You………………….

First let me start out by thanking everyone who called, e-mailed or sent me a card for my Birthday. Your thoughtfulness really meant a lot to me and I appreciate it. The cards you sent will absolutely go into my scrapbook.  I was deeply overwhelmed and again I thank you.

We really enjoyed the fall fest in Lancaster, Ohio. You really made us feel welcome and we appreciate it. Thanks for inviting us.

What a great time I had at the Heart Banquet at Ball Hospital recently. The dinner was sponsored by the Cardio Department Staff and everyone enjoyed eating and fellowshipping with one another. There were lots of fun, food, door prizes and etc.

The theme for the dinner was “Building for a Healthier Tomorrow” which was inspired by the new addition to the hospital that will be the new home of the Cardiac exercise program and etc. A lot of people came with their construction hats, tool belts and etc.

We are quickly approaching the holiday season and I have had so many people ordering my cookbooks and telling me they are going to cut down expenses this year by baking for family, friends and etc.  What a great idea? As many of you know I have done this for many years.

I always wanted to give something that I had created with my own two hands. I always passed out breads, cookies, candy and etc. Gifts don’t have to be expensive to be appreciated and don’t forget to get the kids involved in baking and gift-giving also.

Getting the kids to help will make memories for you and them both that will definitely last a life time.

Don’t let the holidays be stressful. This is the time of the season to enjoy family and friends and we definitely do not want to forget why we celebrate the holidays.

Please remember our nation, our nation’s leaders, our soldiers and their families and each other in prayer. God bless America!

Until next time!  I love you………

A friend and I were talking the other day about how none of us can be on the mountain all the time.  Sometimes GOD puts us in the valley for awhile so that when we are on the mountain top it will seem sweeter.

Many of life’s lessons is facing challenges, worrying, going through heartaches, pain and suffering. These are just simply life’s lessons that we must endure. Going through the hard times will only make us stronger and a better person in the end.

A lot of our daily disappointments come from illnesses, death, betrayals and tragedies.

We sometime may feel like life is so grim and if we don’t watch it we will get caught up in a world of self-pity, but remember GOD always balances our sorrow with joy and our disappointments with hope. There will be a rainbow in the end. I feel that going through a lot of lessons in life can be a spiritually and personal growth. It is GOD’s way of making us more humble and more compassionate toward those around us.

I try to look at life with a positive attitude. I want to encourage those around me that there is nothing impossible with GOD.  I was always told when I was growing up to speak words of encouragement, be appreciative, supporting and respective of others and to always learn to be self-aware and listen to what you say and make sure you make many more positive comments than negative ones.  Ephesians 4:29 tell us “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen”.

We should all look for ways to think and speak positively and encourage others, because positive words can and will make a difference in someone’s life as well as our own.

A minister said to me one time, “How can we dry the tears of others if we have never cried ourselves?”  We should follow GOD’s example as quoted in Psalm 10:17 which said, “You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them and you listen to their cry”.

Remember when we talk to others whether it is family, friends, co-workers and etc. sometimes difficult topics may come up. When we speak we should always be courteous and in a friendly tone of voice. The way we all speak is usually more important than whether our opinions are right or wrong, don’t you think?

The following little prayer was sent to me the other day. I hope you get a blessing out of it as much as I did.

“Dear GOD,

I have never thanked you for my thorns.  I have thanked you a thousand times for my roses, but never once for my thorns.  Teach me the glory of the cross I bear; teach me the value of my thorns.  Show me that I have climbed closer to you along the path of pain.  Show me that, through my tears, the colors of your rainbow look much more brilliant”. Amen.

As I ask you every time, remember always our nation, our leaders, our soldiers and their families and each other in prayer!

Until next time!  I Love Ya!.........

Everyone had a great time at the Gaither Family Resource fall festival in Alexandria, Indiana this past week-end. Bill and Gloria Gaither were on hand to greet many of the fans who turned out.

The 2 day advent was filled with music, crafts, art, food and lots of fun. The stage for the singing was a flat-bed truck in the middle of a field and the weather was perfect. It was so neat!

Everyone was so nice to us and we appreciated it. It reminded me a lot of outdoor activities I used to attend growing up in Tennessee. I for one would love to see more of this. Bill Gaither’s engineer, Jeff did a great job running sound. Thank you Jeff!

Well, I want to take a moment to give a special thanks to Shawn who does our website.

He designed it and works very hard putting it all together each week. All I do is submit my journal and recipes to him and he does the rest. As long as fans still want news of our concerts, recipes, photos and etc. We will continue to keep it as is!

As many of you know, I was in the floral business for years and to this day I still get e-mails and phone calls, people wanting to order holiday centerpieces. I don’t do this anymore. I sold out years ago and I have no desire to return to it.

(All the years I did it one of my greatest blessings was getting to make the entire wedding flower arrangements for our son Chris and my daughter-in-law Stacey’s wedding), which many of you saw on our website at the time. I do appreciate your interest though.

Don’t forget if you want to order my new cookbook, “Cooking with Love and Memories” for Christmas it is getting closer than you think. You will have to get the orders to me no later than December 10th. in order for them to arrive in time for Christmas.

I have had orders as far away as Texas, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean island. I enjoy getting your e-mail feed-backs who have already purchased the book and for your kind words. I do read every one of them and I am so proud and feel very honored that you are cooking out of it. You can e-mail me at shannons@theshannons.com

As I ask you every time, remember always our nation, our leaders, our soldiers and their families and each other in prayer!

Until next time!  I Love Ya!.........

Well, let me start out by saying, we had a wonderful time in Hart Michigan doing a concert at the middle school with Northern Edge and Ray Haner. They all were so talented and was such a blessing. Thanks to all of you who came out to see us and for the hospitality you showed. We thank GOD for each and every one of you who came and I know several of you drove a lot of miles to be there. We appreciate it.

Another great blessing this week was to learn that a young man by the name of Chance Rodger, who had been under going chemo, was cleared of cancer this week. Praise GOD for the victory!

People all over the world have been praying for this young man. I first learned about him while listening to a program hosted by a dear friend of mine, Country Dan Dixon on XM Satellite Radio. When I first heard about him, I was so touched and have not ceased to pray for him everyday. There is power in prayer and I do believe in Miracles. Thank you GOD for another miracle and we give you all the glory, honor and praise.

I have had several e-mails and phone calls, people wanting to know when I will be putting some holiday recipes on our website. I will put some on there toward the end of October. I appreciate your interest and thank you so much for ordering my new cookbook “Cooking with Love and Memories”.  If you still haven’t got yours you can still order in time for Christmas, they will make great Christmas gifts. Remember Christmas is only a couple of months away. Where did this year go? It has gone by so fast.

As always, let us still remember our nation, its leaders, our soldiers, their families and each other in prayer.

It is time we put GOD back in AMERICA!

Until next time, I Love Ya…..

I want to take this opportunity to say a special thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth to visit with us during the National Quartet Convention week in Louisville, Ky.

Thanks to all the DJ’s, Media, Artists and Fans who so graciously made this a week of memories that will last in our hearts forever. We appreciate you and love you so much.

We absolutely loved every minute of it and look forward being the Lord’s will to seeing you again next year at the NQC.

One of the biggest blessings of this year’s event was the appearance of Bill Gaither and the Gaither Vocal Band. What a talent these people have?  You can feel the anointed spirit that they have when they sing. People sure did enjoy their concert!

I for one can not wait to be in one of their concerts again.

We  also had the privilege to meet Johnny Cash's sister, Joanna Cash at the NQC.

What a nice lady she was?

I want to thank everyone who purchased our new CD, “One More Miracle” and my new cookbook, “Cooking with Love & Memories”.  I appreciate it very much.

I got to meet for the first time the writer of the song, “One More Miracle”, Constance.  It was such a blessing to meet her. The song has been a blessing to me. How true the song is, because no matter what we are going through in our lives, God always has one more miracle of love. Thank you, Constance for giving us the song.

To all of you who stopped by our booth and asked us to remember your prayer requests, I want you to know we have prayed and taken those requests to the Lord. Don’t give up; God always comes just on time. God wants us to share each others burdens and we will continue to pray for you and your needs. Thank you for sharing your hearts desire with us.

Let us continue to remember our nation, our nation’s leaders, our soldiers and their families and each other in prayer. May God bless America!

Until next time!  I Love You…………..

Well, can you believe that summer is soon coming to an end? Where did it go? Is what I keep asking myself?  This year is just passing by to quickly for me. I just seem can’t get everything done that I had planned to do this summer. I guess it will just have to be on my list of things to do for next year being the Lord’s willing.

I have been busy freezing a lot of vegetables and fruits lately. Don’t you just love this time of the year when everyone’s garden comes into harvest? A friend of mine has peach trees and she brought me some fresh peaches and I froze some of them so I can make peach cobblers this winter. Don’t that sound good? So far I have frozen corn, tomatoes, peaches, blackberries, apples and etc. I get asked all the time why I freeze things instead of canning? Well, I had enough of canning when I was growing up and now I guess I just take the easy way out, but it’s all good!  Please be sure and check out my recipe page for some summer garden vegetable dishes.

I want to say a special thank you to all who have ordered my new cookbook “Cooking with Love & Memories”. Your feedback has been very positive and I am truly appreciative.  Click on our product page if you would like to order one.

We will be at the National Quartet Convention September 8th. thru the 13th. in Louisville, Ky. Please come by and say, “Hi” to us. Our booth is #799.

I want to wish everyone a great safe and joyous Labor Day week-end as we celebrate the last holiday of summer.

Remember our nation, our nation leaders, our service men and women, their families and one another in prayer as always.

Until next time, I love ya!...................

What a great time we had at the Northern Gospel Singing Convention in Marion, Indiana.

The Northmen were great hosts as always.

We enjoyed the fellowship with all the other artist groups that performed and all the fans that attended each day and evening concerts. Everyone was absolutely wonderful!  We saw some old friends and met and made a lot of new ones. I want to thank each and everyone one for all of your encouraging words to our family, it meant a lot.

I want to thank all the people who came by our product table and purchased our CD’s and my cookbooks.

I want to take this time to thank all the people who have called, e-mailed, written, or ordered from our website my new cookbook, “Cooking with Love & Memories”. The response is overwhelming and I personally want to tell you how much I appreciate it.

I hope you will enjoy the new cookbook as much as I did putting it together.

Well, we are in what they call “The dog days of summer” and I want to remind everyone again to please, please check on the elderly and disable in your neighborhoods to make sure they are staying cool and aren’t in need of anything.

And make sure your pets have plenty of water and shade during the hottest part of summer also.  Dogs tied up in their yards can’t get to water and shade unless someone helps them.

For all of you who have been e-mailing me and asking, “Did we have the doggies Shadow and Buckles a birthday party? Yes, we did and I baked their birthday cake and made them homemade Doggie ice cream and they loved it!

Those recipes as most of you know are in my “A Doggy’s Delight Cookbook” for dogs. If anyone would have told me that someday I literally would be baking food for pets, I wouldn’t have believed it. Too funny isn’t it? I love it.

Please still remember our nation, our soldier’s, their families and each other in prayer.

Until next time, I Love you……….

Well we just returned from the Great Lakes Gospel Sing.  All the groups were fantastic. We sure did enjoy all the fellowship not only with the other groups, but also the audiences that attended. Several different states were represented. Marlin and Lynn were great hosts and everyone that came seemed to enjoy themselves immensely. We are looking forward to next year!

I got to do something on our down time while we were in Michigan, that I had always wanted to do, but had never had the opportunity or the time.  I got to visit and go inside a real lighthouse (The Sable) in Ludington, Michigan. It was absolutely beautiful. Everyone who knows me, know how much I love lighthouses. This was a real highlight for me and a great experience. There were a couple more lighthouses that I would have liked to seen, but time didn’t permit it. Oh! Well, maybe next time!

Another highlight for me was a little girl named Keaton; she made art drawings for me and wanted to stay by my side during all the concerts. She was precious.  When we were ready to leave, she wanted to come home with me, she kept saying over and over, “I don’t want you to leave; I want to go home with you”. Every time her Mom and Dad would look for her she was always with me. I thought this was so adorable.

I want to wish everyone a very happy and safe July 4th.  Please be careful if you are using fireworks.  They are beautiful but can also be very dangerous.

Let us still remember all the flood victims, our solider and their family’s, our nation and our nation’s leaders and each other in prayer.

Until next time!  I Love You…..

Well, can you believe that spring is almost over and we are getting ready to head into the hot summer days?  Spring just went by too fast for me. I have enjoyed working in my yard though when I have had the time. My lilac and snowball bushes bloomed out great this year, they were so beautiful. I can’t believe the year is half gone.

We want to thank all you who have came to our concerts so far this year. We have enjoyed meeting a lot of our old friends as well as meeting a lot of new ones. You have been a real inspiration to us. Your kindness will forever be in our hearts.

I want to ask everyone to please check on the elderly and disabled in your neighborhoods and communities at this time of the year, with the hot and humid days some might not have family close enough to look after them to make sure they are o.k. and if you hear of someone who has no air conditioning or fans and you have been blessed to have extra please share. Let’s help one another and don’t forget the pets.

Please still remember my dear friend Carolyn King, who is still in the hospital. She had a stoke back in December. Keep her husband and daughter in your prayers. Sometimes we just don’t understand but we know God is in control.

For all of you who have e-mailed and asked about the doggies, they are doing fine and will have their 3rd. birthday on June 26th. and of course, I will bake Shadow and Buckles a birthday cake as I always do. We will take plenty of pictures. What a joy those little doggies have brought our families, who would have thought? Thank you for asking!

Let us continue to pray for our soldiers and their family’s, our beautiful America and its leaders.  We are all living in such difficult times right now with the price of gas, food and etc. if we have ever pulled together, we need to now. Prayer can change things!

Until next time!  I Love You….

"Happy Father’s Day" to all the Dad’s out there. I was blessed to have had a very good Dad. He passed away a few years ago, but the precious memories will linger on.

I would like to share a few things about him with you.

His life sure wasn’t easy.  His mother passed away when he was 4 or 5 years old.

He was a veteran of World War II.  He made a living working in a saw mill and farming.

He married my Mother; they had a great marriage and were wonderful parents.

When Mom passed away he never re-married and he devoted his whole life to raising the kids (My youngest sister was just three years old when my Mother passed away). As I grew up and looked back, what worries he must have had?  But he never let it show. He used to always say, “God will make a way somehow” and God surely did!

A song on our Storms of Life CD a few years ago entitled “Daddy”, was a true song about my Dad.  He and my Mother both were great singers and when he would sing he sounded a lot like Ralph Stanley. Music was a big part of our lives in our home growing up and I find that no matter what I may be going through in my life, music always lifts my spirits and makes me feel better. Music is a language the whole world understands, don’t you think?

If you ever watched the TV program “The Waltons” that was how we lived (only poorer), but we had God and a lot of love for each other and what more could you ask for?  I miss my Dad very much and always will as long as I am living. If your father is still living, please give him the honor he deserves not just for Father’s Day, but give him honor everyday. You will never regret it.

I want to thank all of you who have e-mailed or called me and said, “How much you enjoy reading my journal”. I appreciate it very much.

Please continue to pray for our soldiers, their families and for the leaders of this country.

If there ever was a time America needs to be praying, it is now!

Until next time, I Love you…

I want to wish all you Mother's out there a very “Happy Mother's Day”. My Mother is no longer with us here in this life, but I sure have great memories of her.

My Mom was a very simple Mother; she never asked for nothing and always gave more than her share. She was loved by everyone and there wasn’t a selfish bone in her body.  She was a wonderful Christian lady who always put her family above herself. She was a very outgoing person who never saw a stranger and would do anything for anyone who needed her help.  She has been gone for a lot of years and I still miss her today and I always will, but I know we’ll meet again someday.

One of my fondest memories of Mother's Day was that my Dad would always get my Mother a store-bought Coconut Cake with a rose on top. He never missed a year that I could ever remember. Money was scarce when I was growing up, but Dad always managed to get the money somehow. This was just one of his traditions even though my Mom could have baked a cake just as good as the one he bought. This is one time of the year that he wanted to show her how much he loved her and to honor her as a Mother.

How wonderful is that? I just hope I can be just half the Mother to my kids as she was to us. Check out my recipe page for a Coconut Cake recipe in honor of my Mom.

If your Mother is still living, don’t forget to give her a card, call or visit her and etc. When she is gone you will miss her more than you could ever imagine.

The love of a Mother is more precious than gold!

Well, I sure hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful spring as much as I am.

As I have said before, “Spring is my favorite time of the year”.  Life just seems so new and refreshing.

We have been is some really great concerts so far this year and the people have just been so wonderful to us. You are our inspiration that keeps us going forward.  Your encouragement and support of our family is deeply appreciated.  If we are in your area, please come out and worship with us.  You are more than welcome and we would love to see you.

Until next time….I Love You.

Well, spring has sprung and no one could more excited than me. Spring is my favorite time of the year.  I love waking up of a morning and hearing the birds singing, watching the early spring flowers peek through the ground and the buds coming out on the trees. Everything starts coming to life it seems.  The wonders of nature in the spring still amaze me.

This is the time of the year that I like to take me a glass of Pepsi (I don’t like coffee) out on my back deck, sit in my patio chair and watch the sun come up. It is the most peaceful time of the day.

I have never seen a sunrise yet that I didn’t think was beautiful. I probably have three or four hundred pictures of sunrises that I have taken in my life time. There is just something about a sunrise that fascinates me.  You never know what the day is going to bring when you see the sun rising for a brand new day. I always thank God for letting me see such a beautiful sight that he created.

As a kid growing up, this was the time of the year I would always hear my Mom and Dad talk about what they were going to plant in the fields and gardens. We knew it was going to be a lot of hard work, but we also knew that it would pay off in the end.

Today, my heart goes out to the hard working farmers who this year is struggling.  The price of fuel and etc. is going to put a lot of them out of business. Farming is hard work and I have never believed that they get the credit they deserve. It is a 24-7 job.

Let us continue to pray for our solders, their families, our nation and our nation leaders.

Don’t forget to pray one for another.

Until next time……………….I love you……………

We just came back from Nashville, Tenn. finishing up our brand new CD.

Everything went very well and we can’t wait for its release. It should be available the last of April or the first of May. We will keep you updated on its progress.

NASCAR season is here. I am excited!!! I ‘m a big fan of racing and I am hoping to get to attend a couple of the races this year.

Well, everyone who knows me knows how out going I am but they also know how sentimental I am. I get joked a lot about it.

I have had people say to me, “That I should harden my heart a little more and quit letting things get to me like I do”.  Galatians 6:2 said, “Bear ye one another’s burdens” and when family, friends and even people I don’t even know are hurting I feel for them and I can’t help it. It costs us nothing to pray for each other, that price was paid back on Calvary when Christ died for us all. Romans 13:8 said, “To love one another”.

I try to live my life each day as if it were my last. We have no promise of tomorrow, so I try to tell all my family and friends each day what they mean to me. When I go to sleep at night I want to be at peace, knowing that I have done the best that day that I could possibly do. I am not ashamed for showing my feelings or telling people about GOD.  I want people to know when I leave the walks of this life, just what they meant to me.

If I tell you one to many times that I love you or one to many times what you mean to me, or one to many times what a blessing you are to me, please know that it comes from deep within my heart and soul. If that is being sentimental well, I will just have to live with it. We all  need to show a little more love, patients and understanding for our fellow man and It will sure make this cruel old world a better place in which to live. Don’t you think?

Please keep in prayer our soldiers, their families and the leaders of our nation.

Until next time!  I love you……

Well, February is here and winter is half over. I think by this time a lot of people are getting cabin fever, but look on the bright side, spring is around the corner.

I want to thank all who prayed for me while I was ill. I am doing great now. I just praise GOD for looking out for me. We are serving a great and wonderful GOD, he is so precious. I don’t know how anyone gets through the day without him. The first thing I do when I open my eyes of a morning is to thank him for another day. I know the saying is true that, “There is nothing that my GOD can’t do”. I solely depend on him 24-7.

I want to thank all of you who have called interested in our new project that will be coming out in the spring. We will be finishing it up the last of this month. We were scheduled to finish it the last of January, but when I became ill we had to reschedule it.

Women and Men don’t forget that February is “GO RED FOR WOMEN MONTH”. Wear your red to help bring attention to heat disease. I will be speaking at two different heart banquets in February, one in Indianapolis and another one in Cincinnati. I feel honored that they ask me to be a speaker. So wear Red, Red, and more Red!!!!

Keep praying for our nation and our leaders. Don’t forget our soldiers and their families.

Until next time,” HAPPY VALENTINES DAY”.  I Love you……….

Happy New Year! And welcome to 2008.

First let me start by saying a big thank you to all who attended our concerts this past year. Your prayers, encouragement, friendship and support mean a lot to us.

Thanks to the DJ’s who played our music, the churches and promoters who invited us to sing in their concerts. We appreciate and love you very much. We are looking forward to meeting a lot of you again this year as well as meeting a lot of new friends. It reminds me of an old saying, “Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never, ever the same”. You are very special to us.

I want to give the biggest thanks of all to God, who has blessed me so much in my life.  I want to always first and foremost uplift him holy name and give him all the praise, honor and glory.  Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God”.

In this New Year, let us not forget to let people in our lives know what they mean to us. I try to apply this to my life everyday. I believe in the old saying, “Give people the roses while they are living, they can’t hear any nice things you might say about them after they have passed away”. You never know when a word of kindness could make someone’s day.

Let us continue to pray for our soldiers, their families, our nation and each other during this coming year and let our lights shine that others might see Jesus in us.  God is so good.

Until next time!!!!!   I Love You…….
